NPO Tsukuba OSS Technical Support Center (hereinafter referred to as "OSS Tsukuba") recognizes the importance of personal information in conducting activities that contribute to technical support & social deployment of open source software (OSS), centered on the Gfarm file system. OSS Tsukuba complies with laws & regulations regarding personal information protection & strives to protect personal information based on the following basic policy.

OSS Tsukuba collects personal information by lawful & fair means & uses it within the scope necessary to achieve the following purposes.
Collection Targets & Purposes

- To respond to inquiries (including Google Forms) & contact users.
- Prospective Members, Regular Members, & Corporate Supporting Members
- For member management, membership guidance, membership fee billing, event notifications (workshops, symposiums, etc.), & technical information sharing.
- Event Registrants
- For event operation & management, provision of materials, & notification of future event information.
- Gfarm Support Users
- To provide advanced maintenance, implementation support, technical support, & services.
Management & Security Measures
OSS Tsukuba implements appropriate security management measures to prevent loss, destruction, alteration, leakage, & unauthorized access of personal information.
Use of External Services
OSS Tsukuba uses Google Forms to provide inquiry forms.
- Some of the information entered by users in inquiries is transmitted to OSS Tsukuba via Google's servers.
- When using Google Forms, Google's Privacy Policy also applies. OSS Tsukuba will appropriately manage personal information obtained through such services in accordance with OSS Tsukuba's Privacy Policy.
Disclosure & Provision to Third Parties
OSS Tsukuba will not disclose or provide personal information to third parties, except with prior consent from the individual or when disclosure is required by law. However, when providing information to business partners within the necessary scope to achieve OSS Tsukuba's activity objectives (social deployment of OSS, promotion of system integration, etc.), OSS Tsukuba will conclude confidentiality agreements & exercise appropriate management & supervision.
Disclosure, Correction, Suspension of Use, etc.
When a request is made by an individual for disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, etc. of personal information, OSS Tsukuba will verify the identity of the individual & respond promptly in accordance with applicable laws.
